NOTICE FOR ADMISSION

INTO 1 ST YEAR CLASSES

FOR THE SESSION 2008-2009

 
The students who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent Examination-2008 are hereby directed to apply for admission into the prescribed pro-forma available from the college office between 02.06.2008 to 09.06.2008 from 11.00 A.M to 3.00 P.M on production of the original mark-sheet of the Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent Examination-2008. The filled in application form will be accepted up to 4.00 p.m on 09.06.2008
 
The following norms and schedules are to be followed.
 

1) There will be no direct admission.

2) Selection for admission will be made in order of merit only.

3) Merit will be fixed taking together the marks of best four subject excluding the marks of ENVS(compulsory subject) but incase of selection of admission in Honours courses, merit will be fixed on the basis of best of four marks obtained together with the marks obtained in the subject seeking for Honours course

4) All admissions are made on provisional. The college authority has every right to cancel any admission without assigning any reason for doing so.

5) Application should be made individually in prescribed pro-forma within the schedule time and date. Separate applications are required for different streams and different subjects.

6) The cost of application form is Rs 10.00

7) The application form can be available from the college office between 02.06.2008 to 09.06.2008 from 11.00 A.M to 3.00 P.M on production of the original mark-sheet . The last date of acceptance of the duly filled in application by the college office is 09.06.2008 up to 3.00 P.M. Under no circumstances filled in application form will be accepted after the time and date as fixed by the college authority.

8) 22 %, 6 %, 3 % and 2 % of the available seats will remain reserved for S.C, S.T, Physically Handicapped and O.B.C candidates respectively. The S.C / S.T candidates will get a concession of 10 % in the total marks in comparison with the candidates of the general category of all streams. The candidates belonging to S.C / S.T have to attach a Xerox copy of the S.C / S.T certificate issued by the S.D.O / D.M /M.P/M.L.A.

9) The students who have passed Higher Secondary or equivalent Examination before 2008 may apply for admission. But their total marks will be reduced @ 10 % for each preceding year i.e. 10 % marks will be deducted for the candidates who have passed the said examination in the year 2007, 20 % marks will be deducted for the candidates who have passed the said examination in the year 2006. The candidates who have passed the said examination in the year 2004 or before 2004 need not to apply.

10) Marks required for taking Honours courses as follows:-

A. In case of General caste students 50 % marks in the aggregate of marks of best 4(four) subject with 45 % marks in the Subject seeking admission for Honours Course at the H. S or equivalent Examination. Or 55 % marks in the Subject seeking admission for Honours Course at the H. S or equivalent Examination.
B. In case of S.C & S.T students: - 40 % marks in the aggregate or 40 % marks in the Subject seeking admission for Honours Course at the H. S or equivalent Examination
C. In Case of Physically Handicaped & OBC Candidate :- As per General caste students

12. The candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary or Equivalent examination from other boards or Council are required to apply in prescribed pro-forma but their total marks will be reduced to convert it into percentile equivalent as per rules

13. The Compertmental or C.C candidates may apply for admission. They have to attached Xerox copies of all mark-sheets (beginning from his /her 1 ST appearance) with the application form. Their total marks will be reduced @ 5 % for each year of appearance in the said examination.

14. Xerox copies of mark-sheet must be attached with the application form.

15. All candidates passing HS Examination’2008 in Vocational Course (A.G) may apply for admission in to B.A pass course only.

16. The candidates applying for admission into Honours course get themselves admitted into pass course.

17. The names of all applicants seeking admission for Honours courses & General Courses will be displayed in the notice board of the college on 13.06.2008. Any objection regarding application form will be accepted between 14.06.2008 to 16.06.2008 from 11.00 A.M to 3.OO P.M

18. The selected list of the applicants for admission into Honours and General Courses will be published on Tuesday, the 17.06.2008.

19. The selected candidates must have to obtained the prospectus and admission form according to following schedule. The Cost of prospectus and admission form is Rs.30.00

20. The selected candidates must get himself /herself admitted on the stipulated date and time as mention in the admission list.

21. The candidate who failed to get admission on the due date must have to appear before the admission committee within the next two working days with proper evidence of his /her absence for approval of his /her admission on the next available date. If he / she fails to appear before the admission committee within next two working days his /her name will be deleted from the list of admission.

23. The following documents are required at the time of admission

a) Admit card of the Madhyamik or Equivalent examination in original.

b) Original and two attested (by the head of the institution last attended) copy of the mark-sheet of the Higher Secondary or Equivalent Examination passed.

c) Six stamp size recent photographs

d) H.S Registration certificate in original.

e) The Candidate belonging to the S.C / S.T / O.B.C / are required to produced S.C / S.T / O.B.C certified in original issued by the S.D.O /D.M / MLA/M.P

Generic Rules

 

  • Admission is provided on the basis of merit and according to University norms. Students are admitted on the basis of three consecutive lists prepared from the merit list. The overall process takes place under the able guidance of the Academic and Admission Committee. The rules and regulations of the admission process are detailed in the prospectus.

  • State Government and University have adopted strategies to create access to the disadvantaged community (SC/ST/OBC) and to the Physically Challenged persons - College has to follow the strategies. There is no provision to create accession for women or sports personnel etc.

  • Ratio of applications received to admission granted in undergraduate course is : 5500 : 1670 (2006-07).
