The college has now grown up to be a fairly big college of more than four thousand students of different faculties with the aid assistance and grants of the Calcutta University, the Government of West-Bengal and the University Grants Commission. The College is affiliated to the Calcutta University for imparting instruction for preparing for B.A., B.SC. (Pure and Bio), and B.Com. Honours and General Examination. It has also a B.Ed., a Post-Graduation section affiliated to Calcutta University. The classes of the B.Com. (Honours and General) are held in the evening section of the college.
